Storm Brendan: Flights diverted as high winds hit parts of UK

The wild weather will continue on Tuesday when strong winds are forecast for Wales and nearly all of England.

Storm Brendan has forced some airlines to divert flights as it brings high winds to the UK after earlier battering parts of Ireland, with more strong gust forecast on Tuesday .

Seven flights to the West Sussex airport were directed to other locations around the UK after gales in excess of 40mph struck the area on Monday evening.
